Cultivating Connection,
Transforming Relationships
A safe, confidential and supportive space for couples seeking deeper understanding, connection, and clarity in their relationship. We work with couples—often across different cultural backgrounds—to help them feel heard, navigate differences, and rebuild a sense of emotional security.
Specializations
Couples Therapy
We guide partners to communicate better and resolve conflicts safely, fostering a safe space where couples rebuild emotional trust and a deeper sense of unity.
Individual Therapy
We use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) teaching you practical tools to help you manage anxiety, depression, and grief in your daily life.
Trauma Therapy
We provide a safe, supportive space to explore uncomfortable past memories, using schema and somatic work to help you understand your patterns and gently release what no longer serves you.
Couples Therapy for Relationships That Feel Stuck
For couples navigating communication breakdowns, recurring conflict, or cultural differences in expectations.
You may be feeling like...
• We keep having the same argument over and over
• I feel misunderstood or unheard in my relationship
• Small issues escalate quickly into bigger conflicts
• Our cultural or family backgrounds create tension
• We’ve lost emotional connection
How we can help:
We work primarily with couples who feel stuck in recurring conflict, emotional disconnection, or differences in expectations stemming from different values.
Many of the couples we work with come from different cultural or relational backgrounds, which can shape how they communicate, express emotions, and understand one another.
Our approach integrates evidence-based methods including the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy to help couples better understand patterns, regulate emotions, and rebuild connection.

The Therapist
My work as a therapist is grounded in a deep belief that meaningful change begins with feeling understood. I support individuals and couples in navigating emotional challenges, strengthening relationships, and developing a more grounded and compassionate understanding of themselves.
I take an integrative approach to therapy, combining compassionate listening with evidence-based practices including the Gottman Method, Schema Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. My work is both supportive and structured, helping clients gain insight while also developing practical ways to move forward.
I aim to create a space where you feel safe to explore difficult emotions, reflect on patterns, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.
Born in South Korea and raised in Canada, I bring a bicultural perspective shaped by both Eastern and Western values. I understand the complexity of navigating different cultural expectations, and how these can influence identity, relationships, and communication.
Before transitioning into psychotherapy, I worked as an educator in international schools across Singapore, the UK and the Middle East, supporting primary-aged students and their families. Through this experience, I worked closely with expatriate families and gained insight into the emotional and relational challenges that can arise when living between cultures.
This background continues to inform my work today, particularly in supporting individuals and couples navigating cross-cultural relationships, life transitions, and differing perspectives within relationships.
My interest in this field began during my first year of university in Canada, when I attended a course on health and healing. A professor shared her personal experience of surviving advanced cancer after a period of significant life change. I was deeply moved—not only by her recovery, but by the connection between emotional wellbeing, environment, and physical health. That experience shifted my path. While I had initially planned to pursue medicine, I became increasingly drawn to understanding the role of the mind in healing, resilience, and human connection. This ultimately led me to the field of psychotherapy.
